Changing from power steering to manual. I'm using the Camaro pitman arm
Which is the correct direction of the pitman arm when box is centered ?

Re: Manual steering box help

Straight front to rear w/ gearbox & steering wheel set to exact center

Tie rods should be pretty close to equal length with the wheels pointed straight ahead

Idler arm should also be straight front to rear

Re: Manual steering box help

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I just installed the s10 manual box. No my steering wheel is 90 degrees to the left, and my passenger tire is sticking out, while the drivers tire is straight?

What do I need to adjust to correct this?

Re: Manual steering box help

Ok, fixed the steering wheel, it's straight now.

But the passenger wheel is out slightly.
Is it normal for everyone that did the manual box swap, to get an alignment?
