What happened is probably the center spindle nut has come loose. The procedure for tightening it is well explained in any manuel but here's the abreviated version.

Remove the spindle cap(small round piece on end of rotor)
use a screw driver to pry it off carefully

Remove cotter pin from spindle(this is probably broken and you'll need a new one even if it isn't)

Remove locking cap on top of spindle nut

Tighten spindle nut to "tight" with pliars and then back it off a half of a turn. The whole goal of this is to make sure the rotor is seated tight on the bearings, but not so tight that rotation of the rotor is impeded. It should not wobble, but it should also spin freely. There is a specific torque for this(~5 ft-lbs), but I can't remember exactly.

Then install everything. You might have to tighten the spindle nut slightly more to get the locker to line up with the whole for the cotter pin in the spindle.

Everything should be OK now.

I should also say that the bearings should be inspected to make sure that they haven't gone dry or been damaged while this was happening.

Also,if your bearings are in bad shape then your hub/rotor assembly will be loose.

was there a cotter pin? you should put one if not, otherwise you'll be doing this again in a few weeks. may want to repack the bearings too.

cotter pin wasnt bad,

proj is not complete,

ok, theres the cap, then there was the screw, ,then the prongled nut, then a plate, then something behind all on the spindel screw...

i tried tightening the pronged nut but nothing came of that, it got stuck and wouldnt move on, because of the last piece on the spindel, do i have to remove caliper and rotor to do something? im baffeled,

right now im pissed at family/friends,

sell the bird my ***... lol

this is WACK, im not understanding where they can be, because im looking at it, and the...................

just found a chiltons for a silverado.... ok, this problem might be larger then observed.

does anyone know what size torque bit it is for the caliper?

remove caliper, pull bearings check the shape, see if the rollers are in it, cause that could be it...
