Ground Control Rear Weight Jacks
Hello everyone,
I have searched and read as many posts as I could find on weight jacks sold by Ground Control. Has anyone had issues with the rear jack springs not seating evenly. I'm thinking of making the expensive purchase but would really appreciate
any feedback from anyone that could give insight to any issues they may have encountered with the rear. I found a phophgraph from a older post which shows my concern . Thanks for your input in advance
Cheers,
Rick

Re: Ground Control Rear Weight Jacks
It can be an issue if the axle is not centered front to back due to changes in rideheight, control arm length or angle.

With a properly centered axle, this shouldn't be an issue. Just remember lowering the car requires more than just springs or weight jacks, it requires a few other adjustable parts to be used like lower control arms, lower control arm relocation brackets, and panhard rod to keep the geometry correct and the rear end centered properly.

Re: Ground Control Rear Weight Jacks
I have the GC weight jacks. The free height of rear springs is really wrong. The springs are waaaaay too short and can fall out with the axle at part droop. Good idea to add a travel limiter if you ever get a little light weight on the road. Not uncommon for road track guys to get weightless at some tracks.

That pic may have been taken with the car on jacks and the rear hanging....I have the GC kit too, and I'm with QwkTrip, SHORT springs. I barely have to jack my car to release enough weight for adjustments. Doesn't take much.
-or possibly the entire rear is pivoted upward/tilted back. Really can't tell from that pic, but I see what you're saying. I really wouldn't worry about it. Mine are fine. Most of us have no issues, and I certainly haven't seen THAT be an issue for anyone. Sure it's just the pic.
