stock height springs

hello
well i need the length of the standard springs on a v6 firebird
most springs we put in on other cars are too long and the car is much to high afterwards
we order them on rockauto they say that these springs are the right one for the cars
anyone know why everyone got this problem ?
Thank you

Re: stock height springs

Because all the springs are sold as a one size fits all, so there's no variance to account for equipment differences that effect the ride height.

Re: stock height springs

You can buy springs from Eibach for pretty cheap, I think it's $65 a pair. Go on www.eibach.com and then go to the race springs. Select 5.50" OD. You can choose a 9.5" tall spring if you want to lower it or 11" if you want to stay at a more stock height. I'm not sure of rates for V6 springs but I would think 800 would be as heavy as you would want to go while iron block V8 can use 800 for street driving and can see 1000-1300 for competitive use.

SlickTrackGod has a lot of experience with a V6 and spring rates, shoot him a polite PM and ask for a recommendation
