Wheels break free easy after shock change.
I replaced my shocks and struts, because my old ones were shot. I've only driven it once since I finished, but it seems my wheels break free and spin pretty easily now.
I used to have to stomp it pretty hard.
I used the KYB 343211 GR-2 / Excel-G, in front and the KYB KG5562 Gas-A-Just in back.
I've never driven one where the shocks weren't wore out, is this normal for fresh shocks?

Well... Before you had a lot of slop in the suspension to ABSORB the shock of stabbing the gas and loading the tires. Now, that slop is gone, so it throws the shock to the next weekest link - between the tires and the ground. Put on some nice sticky tires and it'll show you the next weakest link.

Gotcha, I do need fresh tires on it, but it’s just a street car, so I don't typically drive it hard. Only the occasional hard launch from a stop sign. Think I want to get fresh springs first, it’s still bottoming out on rough roads, though know where near as bad as before.

Re: Wheels break free easy after shock change.
Are the springs worn enough that it has altered the suspension geometry at all? Or might it have lowering springs already? I know when I put lowering springs in mine some 20 plus years ago it developed the same problem. Little did I know at the time that I had also lowered the front mount for the lca therefore decreasing the angle upward towards the front. This is why guys use lca relocation brackets to correct the angle from lowering. May not be what you’re experiencing but worth taking a look at.

Pretty certain they are the original, I believe I checked shortly after I got the car and one of them matched a stock spring I had from an 89 Formula 350.
