3rd gen suspension parts fit g-body ?

There is a g-body El Camino I'm thinking about getting and during test drive, discovered it drove way too "boaty" for my liking...just wondering if anyone here knows if 3G z28 springs, sway bars, steering box, etc.can be installed on a g-body

No, but the g body has an amazing aftermarket as well so whatever you want is available.

Front springs I think "fit" but aren't "right". Rears don't. Steering box interchanges. Sway bars I don't think so.

As said, there's a pretty healthy aftermarket for those, except for things unique to Elky and station wagon like the gas tank. Shouldn't be too hard to come up with suitable stuff.

They (G-body forum folks) say you can bolt thirdgen front swaybars onto a G-body. When I had a 1980 Malibu in the driveway, and a thirdgen 34mm bar in my hands, it sure didn't seem to me that it'd fit well. Steering box is supposedly a bolt in. Lots of thirdgen stuff can swap, but you can get Gbody parts from a lot of the same places that offer aftermarkert thirdgen parts. Most of that stuff probably works better than repurposed stuff

Good, some of my spare 3G parts could be used on it-The elky has the base "3/4s of a 305"229 v6 with nasty piston slap,so i'll need different front springs to drop in a 305 or 350.
