some wheel fitment Q's??

OK i was looking at getting 17" 4th gen wheels. From what i gather the fronts should go on no prob. But what's up with the back ones? If i can get a whole rear axle off a new Z a bolt up to mine the wheel should fit on to my car fine without sticking out or anything

Those 17' 4th Gen front wheels will not work, wrong offset, the 4th gen rear axle is 4" wider overall then the stock rear, so those 4th gen
whells will fit but stick out 2" on each side. Not as easy as you thought.

If you put on a 4th gen rear end and 4th gen rear wheels, then it wouldn't stick out. The 4th gen rear is wider, but the wheels have a deeper backspacing (hence the need for spacers if using a 3rdgen rear).

To use the wheels on the front, you'd need spacers.

Are you guys sure i will need any sort of spacer. Im pretty sure the front will just slide right on. I believe all Camaro are 5*4.75 so the ofsets should be right on.

I would suggest you do some more research on this subject, because I think th info you have is incorrect.

From what I've read the fronts don't need spacers but the rears do. There was a blue '91 Z in GMHTP that had swapped in a 4th Gen rear because of this and he had Camaro SS rims.
