Eibach Sportlines, but too high up front... what to do?

91 Z28, I put a set of Eibach sportlines on it about 2 years ago. Now, after putting in a new engine with lots of aluminum parts, it seems like the car is sitting too high up front. To make matters worse, I'm about to put a fiberglass hood on too. Sooo, what should I do? The only obvious answer I can come up with is to cut a coil off the front springs. It's probably not the best idea, but the only real option I can afford at this point. Will it have adverse affects on the handeling, since the front and rear springs really won't be matched anymore? Ride quality is not really an issue, because it's already pretty far gone...

If you are going to cut them. Only cut 1/4 coil. It will make a big difference.

Some magazine had that same problem on their project Camaro, and they solved it with an Energy Suspension (or PST?) part from a Mustang. It's sort of a poly "sleeve" that slides over a coil in the rear springs so it doesn't compress so much. It gave it that nice, level look they were looking for.
