It would be easier to just cut the top off a t-top donor car and weld it into your car. I've considered converting my t-top car into a hardtop by doing that. 2 front and rear pillers. As long as all the measurments are good, there shouldn't be a problem.
If you strip out the headliner of a t-top car, you'll see that's not just a cutout of the roof. Structural bracing is around the t-tops.

There might be one problem- if your car (or the donor car) has a tweaked roof due to stress. Then you'd have a fun time aligning the weld job! Also be sure to grab the donor car's extra "latches" on the doors, about 5 or 6 inches above the regular door latch.
sun roof
I was watching trucks on tv today and i saw them cut the top out of a truck and install a sun roof, do you think that it would be possible to do that with my car, and about how much would it cost? thanks, i thought about putting a t-top in but i dont want to anymore, just a sunroof
