Making front spacers hubcentric!

Hey TGO friends,

Time once again to make my once in a while contribution for the good of our community.

SO, hubcentric spacers fit in the rear. 70.3mm bore and it's happy. But you had to get self-centering, non-hubcentric in the front because the although the BASE of the bore is 70.3, it's too tall to clear a spacer with a ring for the wheel.

Well, you still can't do anything about the wheel, but you can hubcentric the spacer:

This is a polycarbonate 87mm to 70.3mm hubcentric ring. Taps right in. I recommend lubing it first. After which:

You'll get a nice, centered, snug fit. So snug in fact, that you'll effectively be pressing the spacer onto the hub. So it would be a good idea to buy a hammer puller and hub adapter for when you have to remove it for maintenance.

I bought these from Coyote Wheel Accessories, they come in a set of four for $5 here:

Hope this helps someone out now or in the future.

Happy Wrenching!
