Front suspension kits

Hey guys, its about time I start tackling my front suspension.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which kit is decent for around $200-$300

Just looking for refresher parts and maybe a tiny upgrade.

Ive seen a few around, just want to see if anyone has any first hand experience.

Something like this from 1AAuto

Thanks!!

Re: Front suspension kits

This one looks to be a little higher quality.
Moog

Any other examples out there?

Detroit Speed has a kit:

They say it's a combination of Moog and their own parts.

Re: Front suspension kits

We talking just steering or just front suspension?

Pro-forged, Moog, ACdelco are all acceptable for steering parts.
With the exception of the Moog idler arm that is wrong for our cars.
MOOG ball joints are much beefier than the AC Delco ones, but I doubt you'd break either one.

The cheap stuff like that 1A auto link you posted, is crap.

Re: Front suspension kits

We have been selling/installing the Proforged kit for the last year or two and have been happy with the quality. They include aluminum tie rod adjusters, most are steel and heavier. Also the idler arm seems to be a big improvement over the Moog.

I'm considering buying these, if/when I get them I'll throw up a review on the install and first impressions!

Re: Front suspension kits

I just purchased the kit from screaming chicken, along with a couple of ball joints. It arrived yesterday. They certainly look like quality parts. Now to get it all installed!

Re: Front suspension kits

I went the Proforged route, There seems to be a higher standard for these parts, unfortunately AC Delco and MOOG aren't what they used to be.
