Steering stops for LS1 brakes

Steering stops for LS1 brakes

I could use some advise/opinions on steering stops after cutting off the factory spindle steering stops for the LS1 front brake conversion. The pictures below are what I currently have, spindle stop cut off with the control arm stop still in place. Is what I got good enough or a no go, I'm running 17 x 9.5 ZO6 wheels with 275-40-17's.

An extension I fabricated was just a edgimacated guess seeing what someone did here on TGO, Early on I figured I would have to either modify it or redesign it

Pulled this from a post long time ago when I was starting to figure out the whole LS1 conversion thing.
