Go ahead and wait till you can afford the whole Hotchkis package, it will save you some dough overall, and is built good.

You'll snicker I suspect, but I've gone through the whole deal: Global West steering box brace and SFCs, 1LE sway bars and GM poly end links and higher durometer bushings, ES poly trans and torque arm mount, Spohn LCAs and panhard (Edelbrock torque arm on back order), and the best mod? ES poly motor mounts. The stock rubber in my 85 IROC had long since gone to the dogs, one down to the metal. Rather stupidly I didn't recognize the problem until I was replacing the exhaust manifolds. What's the point? Make sure all's as it should be before going to the mods.

I'll agree. The poly motor mounts made an unexpected difference in the performance of the car. I only put them in to raise the headers off the steering shaft, but they seemed to make the car snappier.
