Camber alignment problems
Hello everyone, I have a 91 RS 5.0 TBI. I had a problem with a positive camber on the passenger side front wheel that would feel like it would "roll over" something when I would turn right and left and also weared out the outer part of my tire so much it was balding. I have recently replaced the centerlink, outer and inner tie rods and today I got new tires with an alignment. I measured the old tie rod lengths on each side and was able to put them back on no problem. I have no bump steer and everything feels great other than the camber issue. The shop I went to did an alignment and it felt nice one i left the shop but it still has that problem with i cut the wheel right or left. I have been looking and seen people put camber/caster plates on in order to achieve aligning the camber correctly.
My question for everyone is what would your recommendations be? Should I go to another place and ask them to fix the camber? Or should I get the caster/camber plate first so it would be easier to correct that camber issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Camber alignment problems
Take it somewhere that'll adjust it to what you tell them, not what the computer says. Do any suspension upgrades you are thinking about first because they may charge by the hour instead of flat rate and you don't want to keep going back. I just did this last week, it cost a fortune but they adjusted literally everything and it came back dead on.
Re: Camber alignment problems
Don't let them use whatever the computer says
3rd gen stock alignments are crap.
Make sure you have adjustable strut mounts, the stock ones are also crap.
My recommendations:
Daily:-0.5 camber+5 caster0.2 degrees toe in.
Hard street:-1.0 camber.+5.0 caster.0.1 deg or zero toe.
Hard street + some racing:-1.5 camber+6 castor0.1 degree toe in or zero toe.
All out ***** to the wall racing.-3.5 camber or more.+6 castor or more.High speed tracks: Zero toe.Short tracks or autocross: 0.1 or 0.2 deg toe Out.(0.2 deg TOTAL Toe Out)
Note: Different suspension setups and tires will change the required camber settings. For example: A race tire with soft side walls will need more negative camber than a tire with stiff side walls.
