I have purchases spacers for my Pontiac V6 3.1 but they don't lie flat on the surface of the drum brakes (rear axle). I also checked my original 15 inch wheel, but they neither do even without the spacers inbetween.
Does anyone know of any good spacers that also fit on the rear axle with drum brakes? I drive the original 15 inch wheels on my Firebird.
The spacers I bought are with centering.
I have uploaded an image of the spacer mounted to the brakes, you cannot see but they are not flat enough on the drum.
There may be a lip that sticks up around the center hole of the drum. Remove spacer and see if the chamfer on spacer is to small.
Thank you for responding to my post.
I checked if there is a lip on the drum, because some of them had one. But there is no lip. Is there any space being made for the rear axles of the 3rd Gen? The spacer I bought is from Germany. It seems that the surface of them drum is not 100% even.
Do you also know if there is difference in the rear and fron rims of the Standard 15" wheel? Thank you!

Re: Firebird Wheel Spacrs on the rear axle
The 15x7 wheels are the same front and rear unlike the 16x8 wheels which have specific front and rear wheels with different offsets due to clearance issues on the front of the car.
