should i paint my suspension parts??

ok, it started out that i was just going to do my ball joints. then in the process of taking those off i decided my outer tie rod needed to be replaced. then both the inner and outer. then i decided i would upgrade end links. and tomorrow i think im going to try see if there is an open shop to replace control arm bushings, and replace sway bar bushings.. funny huh..

but should i try and paint the tie rod's so they look cool? or do yall think they would look better just always being clean?

since your car is red this is what i'd do:
1. Paint all metal suspension pieces semi-gloss black, with a few things being painted "aluminum" color.
2. All Polyurethane bushings in red.
3. Paint brake calipers red to match your car.

Remember to followup with some clearcoat as well and if you're a detailing nut like me you even put a quick coat of wax on everything before they go on. every few months take wheels off and spray 'em down with simple green to clean.

Good luck

Right. The steering pieces, I would never paint anything other than black. Also, for the pieces that you do paint red, don't overdo it. There's a difference between a nice, simple accent, and over-the-top painting that can make it look like a toy underneath. For example, on my car: red swaybars and bushings, but black clasps and end-link spacers. If all those parts were red, it'd look kinda goofy.

Another option would be to have it powercoated or you could even use that metalmask paint from POR-15.

I wouldn't powdercoat parts under the car unless I had more money than things to do with it.

Unless you're constantly approached by people saying, "Yo man, let me get a look at your swaybars", paint it ALL black.
