did this performance package come with the formula 305 TBI in 1989?? I noticed tonight that my car says WS6 performance on the wheel caps...(3 feet of snow and half the car cover off!!) my car also says somthing about performance suspention on the console too anyway... is this a good thing what was included in this WS6 thing?? thanks for the help once again Corey

 

WS6 was a completely seperate option from the engine. the best way to find out for real is to look at the RPO list on the lock box door in your hatch. if it says WS6 there then it is for real.

I was wondering the same thing. I went to the junkyard last week and found an 89 L03 TA that didn't list ws6 on the rpo sheet, but the car had the 36 and 24 mm swaybars. Of course I snatched them up

 

All Formulas came with the WS6 package stock,

 

WS6 was standard an all Formulas in the 3rd generation.

*Note the WS6 package changed slightly in 91-92, as did the entire car, but changes are minor

The Formula package also included

(2) Large "Formula" or "Formula 350" door decals
(2) Small "Formula" bumper decals
(3) Medium Firebirds for sailpanel/nose
(2) "5.0 Liter F.I" or "Formula" cowl decals (or similar)
(4) WS6 Centercaps
(1) Performance Suspension passenger dash tag
