if i plan on aftermarket headers and y pipe, which spohn sfc's should i get that wont require modding the y-pipe?

 

Thats a good question. I would like to know the answer b/c I have headers w/ a Y pipe and am not sure which ones to get, but I know I want Spohn.

 

I asked this question awhile back; Spohn's subframe connectors fit with the Hedman y-pipe. I'm not sure about other brand y-pipes, but they'll most likely fit as well.

 

I'm getting some binding with 1.75" SLP headers/Y-pipe combo using SSM subframe connectors. I'll have to take it to the exhaust shop soon to drop the pipe about 1/8". It only rubs under WOT when the engine torques over under load.

 

I emailed Steve Spohn, he told me i could use the regular SFCs for a single cat with my Edelbrock TES headers.

 

I didn't have problems with SSMs and SLPs 1 3/4 y-pipe until I put in new motor mounts. Now they're contacting full-time.
