BF Goodrich G-force T/a's
Hi
Just a quick question, has any one ever run a set
of these tires on their car? I just ordered a full
set for the GTA and was wondering what kind of
tire they will be? Oh yeah they are the KDW version of the tire size 245 50 zr 16.
Thanks GTA......

I just installed a set of BFG G-Force KDWS's, size 245/50/16. Very nice tires and fairly easy on the wallet.
The KDWS's have an asymetrical tread design with reinforced sidewalls for better handling so I chose them over the KDW's. So far I love 'em!
I think you'll be happy with the KDW's.

KDWS is for Snow, less grip than KDW which is for rain or Wet and KD is for Dry and offers the most grip in the series. I have the KDW as I do not drive the car in the winter. The KDW is a great tire. Good grip, good tread wear and not as expensive as some other hi-performance tires. Plusit has that sidewall thing that potects the rim from curb damage. I will probably us the KDW this season fr autocrossing........

I think I shall be happy with the tires if they
ever get here, I too never see the rain or winter
so that shall not be a problem. They should look
good on the car and i hope they BITE hard as
the car had no grip before with potenza re-900
tires i had for the past 6 years again thanks

I've got the P245/50ZR16 KDWs on my Formula. Overall I'm pretty happy with them. Ride, handling, steering feel, & noise were all improved over the old P255 Comp T/As that they replaced. I haven't done any drag racing with them, but I have broke them loose a few times during some "aggressive" accelleration on the street. Not sure if the striaght-line bite will be better than the Bridgestones. I have been driving them this winter though. Actually, they do o.k in a straight line, just don't take a snow-covered corner too fast! I've got a full set of snow tires, just been too cheap to get wheels for them. I keep thinking this winter is going to be mild enough to not need them. So far, it has. Stupid, I know.
anyone have pics of the tread?
how much did each of you guys pay, and where did you purchase them from?
i want to get my C5 rims in a bit, and am curious about what tires to match up that are reasonable cost.
the C5's size are:
17x9.5
18x9.5
i believe. thanx guys, oh, whatcha think

description of the G-Force KDWS BFGoodrich T/A
In order to round out the g-Force T/A family, BFGoodrich wanted a tire that provided performance driving fun year round (even in snow) and developed the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS (Key benefits: Dry, Wet and Snow) to combine Ultra High Performance with All-Season traction. g-Force T/A tires are BFGoodrich’s flagship family of performance tires which includes everything from racing radials for the SCCA Trans Am Championship and DOT Legal Competition tires, to Max Performance and Ultra High Performance "summer" street tires.
The g-Force T/A KDWS uses a new tread compound molded into an asymmetric tread design with large, stable outer shoulder tread blocks to enhance dry traction while its inner independent tread blocks enhance wet road grip and light snow traction. Together, the tread compound and tread design help evacuate water from between the tire’s contact patch and the road to enhance wet grip when braking (it earns the highest "AA" UTQG Traction Rating) and cornering. Internally, the g-Force T/A KDWS’s polyester cord body incorporates BFGoodrich’s g-Control Sidewall inserts to enhance steering response and twin steel belts to deliver cornering stability. Additionally, the steel belts are reinforced with BFGoodrich’s ETEC (Equal Tension Containment System) spiral wound nylon to provide high speed durability while minimizing weight and maximizing ride qualities.
$112 a piece i paid $510 to balance and mount them on the GTA rims
