Big Problem with Installing Spohn Torque Arm
Big Problem with Installing Spohn Torque Arm
Ok, got the torque arm and cross member in okay, but the problem comes with the grease fittings on both pieces. The fitting on on the cross member was not installed on straight. It is not flush against the metal. It is fine on the torque arm though. When it's all bolted up, the fitting on the cross member touches the torque arm, meaning the slightest bend and it will snap off the fitting for sure. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I'll post some pics later. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, I thought that's what you were asking. Every car is different, slightly, the plates should be close to straight up and down, yours are leaning back a bit and that's why the fittings are close. I have started putting the bushing fitting out the front now to eliminate that. All you need to do is loosen the jam nut for the front poly bushing and turn the bushing out a few turns. That will lengthen the arm a bit and give you enough clearance on the fittings.
