Suspension Question

I have checked the archives for teh answer with no success. I have an 89 formula with stock tires and rims from Manufacturer, but my front wheels rub the back fender when I turn the steering wheel. Does this occur to all 89 formulas or is there a suspension part that I need to replace. I have small tears in tires from where the tires were making contact with back of fenderwell.

I do not think this is normal, but want to verify with you all.

Also, what is the best low profile performance tire to add to my 16x8 stock turbine-style rims. This could possibly help to alleviate problem....maybe?

Thanks,
