iroc sway bars
ok.. i have an 85' Z would it be worth it if i can find some iroc sway bars and a wounder bar in a junk yard? how can i tell the difference between the irocs and th ones i got now? what is a good price? i dont wana get ripped off by those bastardly junk yard guys.
I think the larger combo 36/32mm.? came on the IROC, Formula, and the trans am. Not exactly sure though..... The best way to tell is to measure them with a string by wrapping it around the bars, try this on your car first to see what you have. I have heard that they make a very noticeable diffrence. The wonderbar, I think, came only on camaros?? They do stiffen up the steering a little, and they prevent stress fractures in the frames up front.
I would suggest offering about $20 for the front, and $10 for the rear. As for the wonderbar, since most junkyard people don't know what it is, tell them its a bracket for the radiator or something, and offer them $3... And make sure you aggree on a price before you pull them, because there's nothing like getting to the counter after you pull the part, and the ******** changes his mind and decides he wants to charge you more
This will keep you out of jail..

The WS6 and 1LE hollow 36mm front and solid 24 mm rear came on some 86-92 Firebirds and some 88-92 Camaros. The wonderbar came only on IROCs starting in 85. You can also measure by using an adjustable wrench (cresent). Put the wrench on the bar, then measure the gap.
