Sway Bar Bushing Tolerances - how tight??
How tight should the bushings on a sway bar be? I just ordered new Energy-Suspension bushings for my 1985 Z28 sway bars. The front bushings fit like a glove, but the rear ones have about a 1/8 of an inch of stretch in them (the bushing doesn't come 2gether where its split when its on the bar) and i'm wondering if this is good/bad or indifferent. When the bars are mounted, could the bushing pinch them and slow my suspension? Is there a proper amount of play or squeeze involved on the bushing? I'm kinda stuck guys - the bags are open and ready 2 go on the car so its all or nothing, i can't send em' back now. lol. Thanks again!
