vibration while driving

O.k., I just replaced my idler arm and took the car in for an alignment. When I went back to get the car, they said that my center link was worn out, and that it should be replaced but wouldn't effect alignment, it would just allow a little extra play in the steering. Anyway when I drive now my car seems to kinda shimy a little (not too bad) but enough to have me worried. At about the same time I started to have some ignition related issues (damn autolite wires), which I think I resolved. But I'm wondering if the vibrations could be caused by an intermittent misfire, or if the bad center link is allowing the tires to kinda drift back and forth. I'm planning on replacing it anyway, I'm just wondering if that will solve the problem or if I have some other issue I need to address. Sorry that took so long, thanks for all your help, Joe
