KYB Gas-A-Just or GR-2 rear shocks???
What's the difference between the KYB Gas-A-Just shocks and the GR-2 shocks for the rear? I'm going with the GR-2 struts for the front www.tirerack.com has them for $43 each. The Gas-A-Just shocks for the rear are $29 each and the GR-2's are $16 each, so the difference in price isn't a big deal if the Gas-A-Just's are better. What are the differences? Which is better? This car is a daily driver that I'll take to the track a couple times. I want something that handles well for everyday driving and is better then stock. Also, how hard is it to install all of these myself? Any advice as far as installation goes? Thanks.

I have Gas-A-Just's on the rear of my 90 Iroc. The daily driving is pretty comfortable, and with the rest of my suspension mods, I pull a 2.26 60 foot at the track. (With tire spin.)
I also have Gas-A-Just's on my VW... with such a light car the ride is harsh, but with a heavy Camaro the ride's fine.

So it sounds like the Gas A Justs are the way to go. Any tips for installing these myself? I think the fronts are pretty straight forward right? Where exactly are the top of the rear shocks located, and how hard are they to get at? Thanks.

The top of the rear shocks are inside the car.
Fold down the rear seats, pull up the carpet from behind the seats, and the tops of the shocks will be under a piece of foam, right next to the wheelwell.
The first shock I put in expanded before I could get the lower bolt hole to line up, so I ended up using a jack to line up the bolt hole. On the second one, I cut the band that holds the shock together, but made very sure not to bang it on anything, it held it's position long enough for me to get the lower bolt on and guide it into the upper hole while it was expanding.
