10 bolt to nine bolt questions

Will my 10 bolt disks bolt on a 9 bolt rear. Are the mounts on the end of the axle tube the same so I can use mybrackets and hardware?

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86

If the 9 bolt was originally disk then they should swap over with no problem. If you're trying to convert drum brakes to disk then you'll have problems. How the backing plate/caliper mount attaches to the axle are different.

they have different backing plates. i redrilled my 9 bolt plates to fit on the 10 bolt rear, i dont know if i would want to try to modify the 10 bolt backing plate to fit a 9 bolt. and the 9 bolt brakes wouldnt bolt to the 10 bolt backing plates.
