1LE Brake Upgrade finally .............

...... completed. I ended up paying the premium for the Stainless Steel Brakes kit. It was complete, which is what I needed. And since I came into the extra $$$ now, I had to get it, otherwise I would have spent it on something else that I probably could have waited on and I reeeeeeally wanted these.

Here's the link to the pictures.

I just finished mine about 2 weeks ago. I did the conversion my self. The rotors and pads I got from applied rotor technology. They're slotted and they've been cryogenically treated. I also used Earls stainless braided hoses. I haven't bedded the pads in yet. I'm still stress relieving the rotors. Tues I'm getting my spohn subframes welded in. I think I'll bed them after that.

Bedding the pads and 'seasoning' the rotors is reeeeeeal important to the long life of both. Stick with it. I'll get the Earl' lines, too, but closer to mid summer. I've put a lot into this car over the last 6 months (parts = $$$), so I'll get them and their speed bleeders when I can.

Justin - they're the pads that come with the kit. They call them a High Performance Pad. Something that is compatable with the Turbo Slotted rotors.

poorboy - I don't think you can go wrong with as complete a kit as this is.

1235 bux, shipped. That's for eveything from spindles (no core charge) to the cotter pins and hoses.

I installed the racing lug bolts, though. They are a GM part.
