caliper question
Anyone know if front calipers will fit on the rear? And no, I don't care about the E brake.

It will require major fabrication - and it will mess up the brake proportioning. Anything is possible - but this is nowhere even close to a bolt-on swap.
With some minor modification I think they will. If you have the older (82-88) rear disc setup (brackets anyway). The biggest problem is the line connection from caliper to rear end. The two calipers look the same side by side, except for one has the e-brake.

They will fit on the backing plates that much i know but i'm not sure what the added piston size will do in the way of upsetting your brake balance. With the money you save from using front calipers you could get an adjustabel proportioning valve to compensate. I went throught the same delima that you have when i retrofitted an 83 disk setup on my 9" for my monte. I ended up rebuilding the rear calipers so i can't vouch for the effectiveness of the front calipers.
