For those of you who want to see the difference between the drop base and flat base air cleaners. First is the drop base With the Spacer ring and, also notice the IAT sensor installed.

And here's the flat base without the spacer ring.

Be my guest, I also have the same pictures except with the 3" K&N filter on, let me know if you want those. My car feels strong with either of the two probably because of the other stuff I've done. Let me know if you need any specific pictures and I'll take them.

Thanks for the compliments, I bought this car from the original owner who didn't drive it very much. Only had 70,000 miles on it when I bought it. Here's a picture of the engine compartment.

MY G0D!

That's got to be the cleanest original L03 engine compartment I've ever seen.

My car has a saying, when it comes to its engine compartment; "If my parts aren't rusty, then they're probably still in the box waiting to be installed."

My '97 Escort's engine compartment isn't that clean, and it's less than half the age of our cars.

get rid of that rusty water pump and your compartment will look good enough to show well almost maybe with some more chrome new water pump is only about 25$ unless you go edelbrock or something

I was gonna paint the water pump black but decided not to waste my time because I'm going to replace it soon with a Stewart stage two pump.
