help... caar runs funny
ok..let my explain. i have the 1.6 ratio full rollers and a couple days after i dynoed it i heard a loud ticking noise under the valve cover... i opened it up and the adjusting nut came off and was just sitting on top of the rocker arm sideways. i adjusted them and ever since then it hadnt been the same. i even had a couple mechanics try it but they made it run the same way i did... at least i didnt pay cuz i took off and installed the valve cover which is a pain with centerbolt. anyways.. i taled to my autoshop teacher and he said that czuse i have hydraulic lifters theres a wide range of where the rocker arm can be adjusted and still be running with no problems. i notice at idle sometimes that the tach needle pulses up and down...very minor...only noticable if you stare. anyone got any ideas?

i dunno if this has anything to do with the car running funny but i was lookin around and found the knock sensor was cracked and came off. would this cause the engine to like shake and stuff while running? car feels real slow also... if anybody can let meknow if its the knock sensor being disconnected which is causing this id appreciate it... im gonna go get a harness now from the auto parts store and i hope it fixes it.

If the knock is giving bad readings it'll retard the hell outa the timing. I dont know what happens when its not giving readings at all though.

i fixed it....changed the knock sensor wire harness. cost 15 bucks. car runs awesome now. this is the first time i actually felt it with 3.73's cuz the harness was really screwed up. i was idling at 250 rpm...seriously..and the car shut off and hesitated to go a few times. it felt horrible. i tried brake torquing my car and it wouldnt even spin the tires... i was pissed.
