LT1 Heads?
will LT1 heads work on a 350 TBI swap?
heres the situation,
i got a rebuilt 350 motor, holley intake, holley 670cfm, comp cam, edlebrock heads, and put it all together, runs great until i find it is burning collant and the heads are crap. so i need new heads. if i knew those heads were no good, i would have gotten vortech heads and a vortech holley intake, so what i need to know is if LT1 heads will work on a regular fuel injected chevy 350. i dont think they would with the reverse collant flow. does anyone know where i could get some good heads cheap and complete ready to run? i need this car running soon, and it ran nice and strong right when fired up.
i can get a set of LT1 heads real cheap from a friend.
also is there a big difference between a 305 TPI head and a 350 TPI head? i might be ble to get a set of 305 TPI heads cheap.
any suggestions?
thanks
Joe

its doable but not worth it unless you have a machinest in the family that can also weld aluminum.

350 TPI heads have bigger chambers and probably bigger port volumes than a 305 TPI head.
