Almost dun w/ cam install!!!

Yea me & my buddy have been finally getting around to doing my cam/Holley TBI install.... started Friday night at about 10:30 stopped about 3, went at it again Sat. night from 11:30-4, now I'm getting ready to go over there in a couple of hours before he gets off work. I hope my wiring job works alright which it should....I'll let you guys know how it runs tommorrow...We're going to do valve springs in a couple weeks because of time constraints

Lol I don't necessarily, but he works till 10, and likes to work at night so thats when we've been doing it, I guess thats why its taking so long....We got it back together last night, but are having severe timing problems, fuel is backfiring through the TBI, we'll recheck the plug wires tonight, & I'm getting a new cap & rotor, take out the dist. & make sure its in right I guess we have to find exact tdc.

Mine was backfiring threw the TBI real bad after my intake install. Somehow the distributer got spun and **** while it was off the car. What I did was take the cap off and lift it enough to get the gear free and point the brass button towards #1 it started this way and i finally got it into time. Itr was crazy if I tried putting it in flood clear mod and starting it, it would catch fire. The distributer was about 100 degrees off or so.

Yea TBI305 mine caught fire twice we had just stabbed the dist. 180 deg. around.... so we went at it again Mon. night & got it right, it fired right up & we have it set at 4 deg. adv. but I'm going to bump that up to 6 deg...I don't have a fuel pressure guage yet so I'm adjusting the FP a little at a time seeing what runs the best.
