I finaly got my exhaust on today. I had the edelbrock tes headers with the catco cat and hooker cat back put on my 305 tbi wich is all 3".. everything i put on is for the 350 tpi and it all fit fine for anyone wondering if it will work.
The cat back is quiet at idle but it sounds good when you step on it.....
I also got my gears in too...I went from 2.73 to 3.73 and put an aburn posi...one thing is I know you need to break in the gears but are the gears suppose to humm when you first put them in or is this a bad thing????? some people tell me they will for a bit but should stop?

 

usually they will stop making noise after a few days or a week. it is not a bad idea to change the oil in the rear after like a month or so to help get all the particles taht coem off during break in out fo the housing. if they hum after that try putting in some lucas gear oil additive, that almost always shuts them up.
sounds liek you need to get to teh track to see what kind of times you can turn now

I was told to change the oil also. I will do that in a month or so. i was also told that richmond gears will do that at first.

My car seems a lot quicker now then it use to ...I just wish that exhuast was louder at idel. oh well people will hear me when i get on it. I will be at the track next week to let you know times.

Now all I need to do is make up my mind on new heads and cam or 350.

 

do the cam. I did mine last night and i'm really pleased with the results.
