Question about 88 TBI computer

is it true that with the 88 ECM you cannot burn chips for it? if this is true what would i do about chips? also isnt the 88 computer stupid compared to a 89-up?

Yes, you can now burn chips for the 8063. They use the same 2732A chips as the 7747 (trucks) and the 8746 (89-92 fbod) ECUs. TunerCATS has the calibration file.

Despite the fact that Tunercat supports your ECM I would not use it.

The reason is, there is very little support base for that ECM. As far as I know your only contact will be Tunercat. On the other hand, if you chose the 8746 or 7747, the support base is much larger. There is alot of info on the 7747 and the 8746 is growing.

The 7747 and 8746 both plug right in place of your current ECM. No wiring changes needed.
