rebuilding a 93 truck engine
i found an engine from a 93 truck. its a 350 and i wanted to buy it and rebuild it. this is the kit im goin to use to rebuild it.
Fel-Pro Gasket Set
Camshaft and Lifters
H/P Timing Set
Speed-Pro Ring Set
Main Bearings
Rod Bearings
Cam Bearings
Flat Top Pistons
High Volume Oil Pump
what else is needed to rebuild this engine.

Well, you're probably going to need a few head-related things, too.
Like new valvesprings, new valve guides, new valve stem seals.
If this rebuild isn't going to be a rush job, you can usually jump into it, and buy the little things as the time comes.

thats not a LO3, its a 350. i was planing on getting that engine, send the heads out for a valve job, new valves, seals, valves, i jsut wanted to know if i needed anything else than listed above.
Heads
If it is a 93 350 out of a truck it can have either the heavy duty heads or swirl port heads. The swirl port heads are unanimous with blowing head gaskets and they dont flow that great. I dont know what a camaro eng. comes with as far as heads bu these are some of the crappiest heads chevy built. You would definitely need them surfaced.

Dont use the Lo3 heads off that motor, they suck!
