GMPP 383 cam for a 305

GMPP 383 cam for a 305
In going throught the GMPP on-line catalog, I discovered this roller cam for the 383 truck engine. Check out the specs and let me know what you think of this cam for the 305:
Advertised Duration: 288/308
Duration at .050: 196/206
Lift: .431/.451
Lobe Centerline: 109
Dealer Prices: $130.00-145.00
It's now quite as big as the LT1 cam and the LSA is a lot shorter, like the stock L03. Would I need special springs for this or would a new set of stockers be fine?
