Why not to use Accu-drive gears????

Why in the Edelbrock catalog does it say not the use the drive gears on computer controlled engines that have knock sensors???? Its bugging me, cause I was going to buy them for my engine im building.

oh, i think i figured it out already. But just to make sure .. is it because they whine and set off the sensors??? But if so, summit sells the quiet drive ones, so, are they still loud enough to set them off?

You know the hardest part? Finding someone who has a gear drive thats affecting their knock sensor.

I dont think Edelcrock makes a gear drive for a factory roller cam setup (if thats what youre doing). Even if they did, I wouldnt buy it from them. Get a Pete Jackson gear drive if you really want one.

Pete Jackson is the only company I can think of that even makes one for the 87-95 SBC's.
