Will nitrous injector plate restrict air flow

Ok, so I'm gonna cheat. Been looking at a nitrous set up for my 350 TBI and I noticed that the injector plate has a small bar for the injectors going across the intake ports of the manifold. After boring out my Tbi manifold and using a 454 TBI, It seems to me that putting the nitrous injector plate on would restrict airflow under normal operation.
Am I right? Is there another approach to this? I think the system was a nos system. Anyway, sure appreciate the help. If I should put this on the power adder page instead, let me know. Thanks.............bob
