Injectors

Has anybody seen any gains just by keeping the 305 tbi and goign to bigger injectors? I think I am needing more fuel but can not afford a bigger tbi right now.

i suppose if you have a hot setup you could upgrade to the 55#350 or the 65# cop car injectors (those might be a bit much for a 305 but who knows.) The prom, however, will have different injector constants for the old 45# 305 injectors. Youll need to mess with the fp to get it to work right.

more than likely, the tbi itself is the big restriction in your setup assuming youve done exaust work already.

Check my sig-my 670 TBI came with 57lb/hr......The unit helped me, but the injectors are still to big if your engine has the stock in'ards. I have my fp as low as it can go...... Spend your money elsewhere, or if you can get the injectors for cheap, buy them and save 'em for after you do a major mod such as a cam and intake or heads.

I already have headers,exhaust,LT1 cam, edelbrock intake manifold, and the open element air filter. I have an AFPR and it is set to about 14 psi. But I still think I need more fuel. Thats why I was asking. Sorry I should have listed all this stuff prior to asking any opinions. So what 's up?

I found I needed the 55# injectors for the mods in my signature. I am running them with stock fuel pressure. It did run a tad rich at idle but I burned a chip for it and leaned it out a bit on the bottom end and it seems happier now. It didn't run bad but cost me about 3 mpg so I messed with it.
