Vacuum pipes routing?

1991 RS 305 LO3 project (350 going in) in the UK.

There are 2 vacuum lines coming out of the firewall in the photo below. One has a neat end (obviously not been cut), and the other one has been cut roughly. I know one goes to the water valve, but where does the other go? It must go to a vacuum source, surely? But there is a vacuum reservoir under the carbon canister also. Does this vacuum pipe go to a T, then one goes to the inlet manifold & the other goes to the vacuum tank?

Does anyone think that the roughly cut pipe used to go the water valve?

Does all this make sense?!!

Thanks.
Andy.

yea, one goes to the heater control valve, and the other t's off to the little cylinder sticking up from the manifold. Its in front of the dist. and next to the egr valve.

Thanks Tim.
Since the car didn't have an engine when I bought it, a lot of it was a mystery. Luckily, that is about it for the unknown bits now! I have just had a 1977 truck 350 built which has got LO3 bits attached to it! This is going in the RS later this week, hopefully!

after that, you can steer yourself over to the DIY Prom board. Speed density systems will give you trouble with a high pwerformace engine. Youll need to tune it to get it to work right.

Hi all.
Since the car will be used every day (and I have another show/strip Camaro), the heads are the stock heads, just rebuilt. The cam is slightly more than was in their before, but not much. I need this to be a reliable motor. NO lumpy idle!!

Since the ECM, engine (and all emission equipment) was missing, I will be using a Quadrajet until I can retrofit a digital injection system (next summer?), so won't have any ECM related problems!

Thanks again.
Andy.
