hooker 2055 headers too much for fairly stock?
my cousin is gettin headers for his 305 TBI... it only has bolt ons, and hes expecting new heads and a new cam but not for a while. are the Hooker 2055 headers too much or too big for this setup? thinking between those or the Hedmen 68481 legal headers for 82-92 camaros.
oh yea.. the headers are listed uner 85-90 cars... why wont they work on 91-91 cars?
i figured more people would know the answers to this in the TBI board rather than the exhaust board, the people here must know wats too much for a bolt on TBI motor etc... thanks a lot

The Hookers will work fine and they are not over kill.I dont now why they only list up to 90.Hookers are also legal, they have the a.i.r hook ups.I also hear alot of good things about the headmans so its up to you on which one you get.Later.

If the Hookers come with the y-pipe then they won't fit a 91 or 92 Z28, they have dual cats and the y-pipe would be useless. The part number you're looking at will work fine on all tbi Camaros.

The only thing to look out for on the 2055s is the ball joint where the ypipe hits the collector on the headers was only roughly 1.8" on mine. I just dremmeled them out to about 2.25".

Open y pipe, yes they can be alittle on the loud side. I would get the coated ro have them sandblasted and then paint them with around a 1200-1500* spray paint. That black stuff isn't worth more than just shipping. protection.
