i am looking at getting a new car i have been looking at a few cars here and there. I have seen 2 i have really like one was a tbi with a swapped 350 engine, and the other was an iroc with a stock 305 tpi. Which one is faster? and what would u go with?

 

Faster? It would totally depend on the engine. You cant just throw a 350 against a 305 without some details of the engines. But ifI were you I would go with the 350TBI, it just has more potential, and it's easier to modify.

 

no no no go with the tpi you will love it and you can mode the hell out of the tpi and it will be fast

 

And spend a lot more money to do so.

 

I have an '85 IROC with a 305 TPI and a '92 Astro van with a 350 TBI.

The IROC is the biggest pain in the a$$ to do ANYTHING to. If you ever want to put heads or a cam on a TPI engine plan on spending another 3 zillion dollars for a ported base and runners.

I loathe torx bolts now.

the 305 would have to have a blower to take a 350 tbi.......hey buy em both amd put the tpi on the 350 lol, dont worry im poor too before you say it... lol
