Well, it is finally running, but......

It cuts out at high RPM's. Do 82's have shut-offs in the distributor? If not, what could be some of the problems? The fuel pump was the why it wouldn't idle and run. Now it seems like it cuts out at about 4500.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the lo3... the load redline is 4500 rpm... limitation purely of the cam... and the intake.. and the tbi... and the headers... and the exhaust piping...

uh, no if it just cuts out at 4500 something is wrong.. were you the guy with the car that was sitting awhile? if so, its a safe bet the injectors are pretty gummed up which is probably your problem
