egr delete
the easiest way to fake out the ecm is to take a check valve and just stick it onto teh vacuum line that used to lead to the egr valve. when the computer goes to pull the egr open it will open the check valve and think it opened the egr

Never stick a check valve in the egr line (there is no feedback from the egr to the computer, there is only an output to the egr from the computer, this is an open loop process) so you might as well just unplugthe vaccum line to the egr and letting it hang there, but don't do either of these things. Regardless of what is physically happening in terms of the egr, if the computer thinks its at 100%egr (even if it isn't) it makes changes to your fuel and timing (adds about 6 deg). If you just unplug your wires from the egr unit, this will disable egr, it will give you an error code though. All this said the real way to disable egr is to program it into the prom, with a custom chip.
