cop car tbi

is there any thing good about the cop car tbi. my friend gave me one that we took off of one ane i wanted to know if there was any thing diffrent about it then a 350 tbi

Depends on the year, some came with standard "55" #ers and some with the "65"s.

Caprice police package L03 should be, part for part (with the exception of the air intake), identical to any other car L03 (like an F-Body). That means it has 40 lb/hr injectors.

Police package L05 in 91 had 65 lb/hr injectors and 92-93 had 68 lb/hr injectors. The TBI itself is IDENTICAL...Rochester 220.

I don't know how big the injectors on the 89-90 L05 9C1s, but they should be 65s.

In other words, don't swap throttle bodies unless you want to do something to it (like Ultimate TBI mods).

Oh yeah, truck L05s (as if this hasn't been gone over) used 55 lb/hr injectors...
