when i hit the gas black smoke comes out of my car. does this mean im running rich of lean?

 

Rich.

The computer's programmed to run a little rich at WOT, but I've only seen black smoke (and very faint at that) under acceleration. If you've got it coming out just reving it up at a stand still, that's a little uncommon.

Check the spark plugs. They'll tell you more.

im also getting a code 15, witch is low temp at the coolent temp sensor. Some one told me that will make it run rich, i replaced the CTS and the sensor that turn's the fan on but i havent replaced the one between 1&2. plus my fan wont come on unless i turn my air on.

 

CTS will definitely make it run rich. Also no thermostat or one that is not working properly can keep the car from going into closed loop and thus be rich. The stock fan switch doesn't turn the fan on until over 200 degrees so you may have never reached that temp it your having a thermostat problem.

 

but i have a brand new superstat 195 in the car and the gage runs at 220. but it gives the code 15 the car is reaching the temp it should be. but something is wrong with it

It could just be the sensor going out. IIRC, The one that shows the temp. at the gauge is a different sensor, so the gauge won't show the problem.
