Need some advice please
I know that this doesn't belong on this thread but it's where I put up most of my questions about my 91 Camaro RS and pluss I didn't know where else I can post it. I also thought that you guys might have read some of my threads reguarding my car.
Well I am considering selling my Camaro and based on some of the threads that I posted questions about my car I would like to know your input on selling it for $3000
The problems are as follows:
1)Over spray of paint on the black rubber trim on the windows and windshield
2)The after market fog light that the previous owner put on is missing the left fog light.
3)Some over spray on the body it's self.
I think most of the problem is in the appearance of the car. There is absolutely no mechanial defect (as far as I know).
Thank's for your advice....

1) Mineral Spirits or laquer thinner will take it right off.
2) Don't worry about it. Little stuff like that gives the new owner a chance to put on the lights that he/she wants.
3) See #1. If that don't work, use a fine cutting compound like Mequires (spelling?)

I have done CamaroDrivers trick for #1 with great success.
#2. I would remove the one fog light. I think car would look better with none than just one.
#3 I would compound and then polish car. Depending on the paint the lacquer thinner or mineral spirits could damage the finish.

As long as the paint has cured it won't do anything but take off wax. Don't do it to a car that's just been painted. Give it three to four months.
vrooom305,
If the overspray is from painting other areas of the car, then make sure you only use mineral spirits on the older panels. And if the overspray's been there quite a while and had time to cure, then the cutting compound is the only thing that'll work.
