My prboblem is that the car doesn't pull at WOT. I get the same times clocking the car 0-60mph at half thortle that I do at WOT. The ingition, plugs and about everything just had a maintenance check-up and no change. It feals like the engine is floding? 0-60 times are 2sec slower than 6 mounts ago.. whats wrong?? can anybody help. the problem didn't start untill last summer. and did so very slowly. I noticed it about a 3 mounths ago when testing out my new tires...

 

a little better description and some more data might make this easier. an a/f meter would be handy as would a compression check and some WinALDL data... but as long as the car is running fine otherwise this kinda sounds like a slippage issue. How's that torque converter doing?

no the cats not pluged. it's been removed I would give ecu data but my cable never wanted to work
the car does work fine. WOT is the only isue. it spools up very slowly went hitting the pedal down form a standing start. If i put it in to 2nd gear raise the revs to about 3000 and flor the pedal the car pulls exactly the same and half throtle. tomorrow i'm gonna pull the tbi and intake out for a small polish. Whats a good reading off the o2 sensor?? I have a freeflowing air filter thats just been cleaned and the car has all the maintenance done in the last 3 mounts thats possible.
BTW rosted a wanna be ***** today... got the whole thing on a dv cam
not a very good clip thou... the gall with the cam messed up

the torque converter is a bit ****ty... it slips in long curves if revs are over 4500 and you get enough g's... otherwise it works perfectly...

 

Could also be a clogged fuel filter or injectors or your still running the very restrictive stock air cleaner.

All those problems could cause it to be weak at WOT.

 

Check your timeing it could moved just a little bit. My car was doing the same thing and i advanced the timeing and it fixed it.
