The part number on this cam is CC12-314-4 It is for 87 to 95 TBI or TPI engine's. The Dur. @0.050" is 212/212 The lift is .444/.444 The lobe separation is 112 RPM Range is 1,200-5,200 And the price is $109.95. I found this cam in www.sdpc2000.com What I want to know is this a good cam for a 350. if you think I could use something different then let me know.

taht woudl be a good mild cam for a 305.
don't worry about if it says it is for fuel injection in the description or not. the ecm can be reprogrammed to deal with anything.
just look for a cam that meets your needs/desires.

I assume you know whether you need a roller cam or not. TBI trucks continued to come with flat hydraulic cams but automobile engines have hydraulic rollers. I am not familiar with the cam but that price looks like a non-roller cam. Most roller cams are well over $200 because of the material required to make a roller cam.

You're correct. That is a flat-tappet cam. If your 350 is a late model roller cam, you wont want to use that one. Originally posted by PaulD

The Crane Compucam 2030 or 2031 would be great ones for TBI engines. The 2031 might need a custom chip, however.
Im looking in the book right now as we speak and it gives the exact same part number for the cam in a flat tappet and a hydraulic roller cam and they are the same price

Impossible. They would never give the same part number to two different cams.

Take a look at that page. Notice your cam says "hydraulic" and the cam at the bottom of the list says "hydraulic roller." Not to mention the price. Roller cams are all more expensive than flat-tappet cams.

well im not looking at it on the computer i have the new catalog that i got in the mail the other day and i gives the same partnumber and the same price for both cams the only difference is the roller cam says for car's 87 to 95. Im going to call them tomorrow and see if it is a misprint. Ill keep you guy's informed about this

I have the 2031 cam and running the stock chip. No problems at all with. However, I'm sure that if I added an AFPR and custom chip, I'll get a lot more out of it. I'm also running at 6* base timing and 92 octane gas. Runs great and passed the smog test with flying colors.Originally posted by Kevin91Z
