No Throttle Response
Lately to get the mule started, i have to jump it. And even then it will only run for a few minutes. Everything stays relatively chill in park, but when i go into gear, no rpm change, just big awful sound from motor. I just found one of my plug boots melted so i replaced all of them. Today i'm going to try to hook up the winaldl and see what that gives me. Oh yea, just before she stalls out, she surges real bad. And the wierdest thing is, last thanksgiving she started and took me for a drive. 20 minutes later it wouldn't start for my roommate and when it did, it only got us halfway around the block. We pushed her home. Any suggestions on what to look for would be great. I am mostly concerned with the lack of throttle response. I can work all the other bugs out. I just want to drive her now.
Thanks

Here is my own reply. She runs now without too much trouble. I still can't restart her without the aid of jumper cables. i know they is a short somewhere that beeds the battery. I also might have the alternator hooked up wrong. The terminal on the top has two wires, brown and pink with bblack stripe. The brown has put to the alternator light on the dash and the pink i assume is a power wire to tell the alternator to turn on and off. Is this correct?
